Bath Time

Now that the boys can sit up a little better I tried having 2 in the tub at once. Dylan and Liam had their first bath together. They really liked it and kicked and splashed each other. It was fun. Evan had to bath by himself this time though. I don't think he minded :)

Another first

Yesterday was the boys' first time going on a walk around Wascana Park. Since Caden was born in May, he spent just about every day of his first 4 months doing that but these poor boys have been mostly just stuck in the house. We were going to try and take them out on wednesday but it was winter weather (GRRR!!) so we postponed it to thursday where all we got was some rain (still grr!) but really it was fine. It sprinkled on us a little here and there but nothing too crazy. Caden almost made it all the way around (for those of you that don't know - it would take an adult about 45 minutes of steady walking to get around) without tiring out. I was pretty impressed. Leah came over and we loaded the kids into the van, drove 8 blocks to the park, unloaded everyone and put them into strollers and headed off. The babies were perfect. Didn't fuss or anything the whole time. We were there for 2 hours, including at least half an hour at the park. It was so great to get out a...

the frivolous things

Being a mom is really great. I love it and it has added a dimension to life that I savour almost every day :). I was losing my sanity though and I wasn't sure why. Obviously I'm busy and as you can imagine (or are experiencing yourself) there's not a lot of time for what I'll call the frivolous things in my life. I'm really surprised though, at how much I'd missed those little things. I decided to get back some of that part of my life. I dug out my favorite music that I just haven't taken the time to listen to in over 6 months. I have been trying to do Yoga more again lately. I am getting to do a little shopping for clothes that aren't maternity clothes but summery clothes - YAY! I'm even finding time to read. We have good friends and family that have made it possible for Justin and I to go out a few times, just for nachos or whatever. I had really missed that. I've also taken Caden out - just us - more lately. So - no big deep issues...

Liam rolling over

Here's the video of Liam rolling over. Now that he has it figured out he just doesn't stay on his back anymore ever. He's even been trying to sit up on his own this last little while. My boys are growing up WAY too fast already....

I had posted video of Dylan rolling over, months ago, so I thought I'd better put the other boys on here too !! This one is Evan - this was a month ago. Liam just started rolling over last week so I'll get some video and post that soon too.

Long Weekend

We have had a really nice long weekend. We were able to share it with Justin's mom and dad - they came here for a few days. They even watched the kids so we could go out one night - Thanks for that!! Everyone is starting to get over being sick. Caden seems fine now. The babies are still coughing but not as much. They are all sleeping a little better. Liam's eyes are kind of gunky still but the others seem fine. Justin's cough doesn't even seem as bad as it sometimes gets. So it would appear that we are all on the mend. Liam finally started rolling over. I had taken him to the pediatrician for another reason but while I was there, I asked when I needed to worry about him not doing that yet. He said - oh give him another month. Well, the very next day I noticed that I would leave him on his back and when I came back he would be on his front. We didn't even get to see it the first few times. Grandma M was the first to actually see him do it. But now he doe...

My sick boys

I spent all night at walk-in clinics tonight. Ugh! First I took Caden to one at 430. His eyes are super goopy and the healthline nurse suggested we have it looked at. We got home at 630 with 2 medications. Both of his eyes and ears are infected. Lovely. So we have amoxicillan and then eye drops for his eyes. Poor kid! That got me all worried about the babies because they all have coughs and runny noses too and I was worried they had ear infections and I didn't know it. So at 7, after calling another clinic to see what the wait time was and being assured that it wouldn't be more than half an hour, we loaded up the whole family and went for an outing to a medi clinic. We were in in under half an hour (that's long enough to be the free entertainment. We don't exactly sneak in unnoticed :) Ahhhh.... life is going to be interesting.) and told that everything is clear. The boys just have colds and no infections. What a relief! I was so hoping that I wouldn'...
