We're back

I know - It's been forever since I've written. I am still reeling from the loss of my computer. We have another one we can use but then I have to learn everything all over again. February has flown by. What that means to me is that spring is ever closer. Whew!!! My highlights this month were ladies retreat, trip to Calgary, and some firsts in Caden's life. Justin and Caden had lots fun together in the middle of the month while I was gone for a few days to Retreat. Even though I didn't get alot of sleep while there I got more than I get at home!! Caden has started standing on his own every once in a while and even took a couple of steps last week, since then he's a bit chicken. He's also figured out how to go up the stairs a bit. He's growing so fast! We took extra days to go to Calgary so that we could get some good family time in. Caden had fun and got to spend lots of time with his grandma and grandpa and all his aunts and uncles. He has a little walker

Oops

It finally happened. Caden is fascinated with cords and remotes and the phone, any kind of electronics. He would often make his way over to the side table that our lap top sits on and pull on the cord. The cord would pop out and I would move him away from it and put the cord back in. Well, last friday the cord didn't come out and so the computer followed the cord and slid right off the table. I did catch it but not before the corner hit the floor. Now we can't turn the thing on. So - it has to go for repairs. Oh well. I'm sure all the other parents out there would assure me that there are many more incidents like that to come. Being a parent is a real adventure. Isn't it fun?! P.S. I no longer have my email addresses so, while the computer is gone for repairs, I can only reply to emails that I get. So if you want to hear from me, you have to write to me first. And there won't be any pictures for awhile either.

Conroy

So apparantly Craig Conroy coming back to the Flames is a good thing. I'm not telling whether Justin initially thought so or not but if anyone out there wants to tell him what you think (he loves to hear what y'all think about his team) here's the place to do it.

Caden's adventure with babysitting

Caden had his first real babysitting experience last night. He's been watched by people he knows before but for the first time last night he went to a house he may or may not remember and was babysat by people he didn't know. We went out for supper with our friends, Todd and Lindsay. Lindsay's 2 brothers and sister in law were watching their kids and volunteered to watch Caden as well. We figured it would be good for all of us so we went. He's old enough now that it might start getting more difficult for him so we wanted him to have some of these experiences so he'd know they were fun. We were gone for almost three hours. The question of course is how did it go. He is really sociable so I hoped that all would go well but worried a little that he would realize we were gone and get sad, possibly even do some crying, maybe screaming. Who knows these things? Well, as it turns out he had a blast. I guess a couple of hours in he looked sad and like he was going
