Growing up

On Monday, Caden will turn 4 and the triplets will be 18 months old. It's one of those times where you stop to really think about that and how fast it all went and everything. It's an exciting time because there are still so many changes and lots of firsts. Dylan, Evan and Liam no longer have bottles, ever. We had still been giving them one before bed and first thing in the morning but quit on the weekend. So I packed them all up and got a shelf in my cupboard back! YAY. We've also stopped letting them have their soothers during the day. I had watched an episode of supernanny where the little boy was asking for the soother so I thought that it might be to our advantage to get them off of those before they can talk! We haven't had any trouble with either thing. They haven't seen bottles or soothers lying around either though so that helps. If they did they would certainly cry for one. Sleep is still a bit of a struggle. Last night was great but the nights

A great day

I had such a good day today. It didn't start out that way. I was so exhausted. I have been back to feeling really tired lately and the kids just won't get all the way through a night without waking us up a few times. So I laid on the couch for quite a while before I had enough gumption to get up and get going. Anyway - after that we had moms and tots so I got to visit with lots of great ladies and got to spend a tonne of time outside. I LOVE being outside. It was just in our yard but lots of fun. The kids love it out there so much. I have to confess that we all have rosier cheeks and arms tonight than we did when we got up this morning. I guess it's sunscreen time. Don't tell the social workers please. I even managed to get my backyard partly raked up. My brother Chris showed up just in time to help out. That was so sweet of him, especially since he loves landscaping and yardwork stuff and I DO NOT. I try. I really do but it's just not my thing. I l
I haven't been taking as many pictures as I should be but I did get a few at the park with the Pippus' this past weekend. Katie with Evan and Megan with Liam Some fun on the slide. Liam was scared and only went one, maybe two times. Dylan and Evan liked it and even went on their own. Dylan kept going back to climb back up. He's an adrenaline junkie. I really wish I had the time to blog more often. Life is so full there isn't really room for much computer time. But I can say that everyone is doing well. There are a couple of things that I wish were different. I wish the kids would listen to me when I told them not to do stuff. That seems to be the hardest part of things right now. And I wish that they would all sleep past 5 or 530 in the morning. I think that they are way to old to be doing that but I'm not sure what to do about it. I put Liam downstairs this morning at 5:15 so that his crying didn't wake up Dylan as well. He cried for about 15 minut

Easter Weekend

Here are a few pictures from our Easter weekend barely before we hit another weekend. And I guess it's not a few pictures - there are many. I figured since I don't blog as much as I used to, I could get away with it. Anyway, we'll start with last Thursday morning. The boys and I decided to meet Justin at his office and go to Tim Horton's (at the U of R) for a treat. This was sort of my official breaking out of the house and starting the new season. We hadn't really been outside much yet because it was so wet and snowy, then I got sick and didn't go anywhere for a few days. So - thursday we were itching to get out of the house and DO SOMETHING. So - walk to Tim Horton's... and once again we were watched and talked to all along the way. What was really funny was after we left. We were just outside the building chatting with Justin before he went back to work and from the corner of my eye I saw this guy, sitting on a bench across the way, TAKING PICT
