Easter Weekend

Here are a few pictures from our Easter weekend barely before we hit another weekend. And I guess it's not a few pictures - there are many. I figured since I don't blog as much as I used to, I could get away with it.

Anyway, we'll start with last Thursday morning. The boys and I decided to meet Justin at his office and go to Tim Horton's (at the U of R) for a treat. This was sort of my official breaking out of the house and starting the new season. We hadn't really been outside much yet because it was so wet and snowy, then I got sick and didn't go anywhere for a few days. So - thursday we were itching to get out of the house and DO SOMETHING. So - walk to Tim Horton's... and once again we were watched and talked to all along the way. What was really funny was after we left. We were just outside the building chatting with Justin before he went back to work and from the corner of my eye I saw this guy, sitting on a bench across the way, TAKING PICTURES of us. Wow. kinda weird. well, very weird actually.

Anyway - we didn't get quite as much attention when we went out to Rona before supper. We are looking to replace our carpet with a hard flooring of some kind before we start potty training the kiddoes and this is how we shop now I guess. If we want to look at stuff together. It was fun though. The kids got to ride in the carts, something that they never get to do since they don't shop with me ever.

After shopping there we went to McDonald's so that Caden could play at the playplace (something he never gets to do since we never eat 'in' the restaurant) and the little boys could practice sitting in the high chairs and being out in a restaurant. It went fine b/c it was McD's but I'm not ready to take them any where else yet.

So that was thursday. On friday, since Justin was home and had to work on his computer, we left him with the little boys while they napped and I took Caden to the park to feed the geese. There was still a lot of ice on the water but it was nice otherwise. Some puddles for Caden to jump in.

then we played at the park for a bit....
picked up a couple of slurpees and headed home to paint eggs (before the 'boys that crawl on tables' got up)

Once the boys were up we went to our local play park that is now free of snow and ice. The little guys had their first real chance to run around the park on their own. Well, we were there, but you know what I mean.

Dylan had a bunch more things to climb so he was happy.

3 boys on a slide...

That was a fun day. I think we closed that one out with a movie together before bed. On saturday morning Justin and I took the boys to the library for a while. They have a play area at the central so we went there. It was fun - something to do. Something that I can't really do by myself so had to take advantage of Justin being with us. That afternoon, again while the boys napped, I took Caden over to the southland mall to see the Easter bunny. They had some games, coloring area and a craft to do. So we did it all! Then went over to the food court for a drink together. It's been really nice to have the one on one Caden time and be able to take him out and do things. I've missed that since we've had the other boys.

This activity wasn't planned but was a highlight, apparently. I let the little guys go downstairs with Caden now. At the landing at the back door is a shelf FULL of shoes. I guess it's fun to throw them ALL down the stairs. Oh boy...

We had an easter egg hunt on sunday morning. Dylan was right there with Caden, looking and putting stuff in the bucket. Evan helped out a little but Liam cried through the whole thing. Just wasn't in the mood I guess :)

The stash...
Easter basket...

It was a pretty good weekend. Except sat. night. The kids were up through the night and started being up for the day at 530am. I was already played out from doing so much the past few days and then Justin and I had next to no sleep that night so we stayed home all day. Just hung out and put the kids to bed for their nap a little earlier. We knew they'd be miserable if we went anywhere so we didn't. And that was our weekend!

They are here. They are really really here!!!

It was a cool day. Almost too cold. The kind of cold that makes you rethink your very existence.... Boy. I am waaaay to tired for that. So I will give you the un-dramatic version. So, we are getting bombarded with requests for an update and pictures. So I will oblige and provide you with all the gory details. Actually, there are no gory details. In what can only be described as an amazing answer to many prayers, the new Mooney babies were brought into this world with no problems what so ever. We entered the hospital at 10:00 in the morning and were taken to the surgery room around 12:00 noon. At exactly 12:38, the first baby, Dylan Michael was born weighing in at 6 pounds even. Then, also at 12:38, Evan Timothy also charged into the world weighing in at 5.2 pounds. Then, at 12:39 Liam David was born weighing 4.8 pounds. For those of you good at math, that is a whopping 16 pounds worth of babies. 16 POUNDS!!! And even though them just being born at 36 weeks and 5 days isn

The 2 Week Wait is Over

The waiting is finally over. Today was the day - after 2 long weeks of waiting - that I went for my official pregnancy test at the dr.'s office. I had done a couple of Home Pregnancy Tests so I pretty much knew what to expect. I have been praying constantly, as have many of you out there (thank you so much for that). Well, God heard all of us and we are happy to report that the test came back positive. We are really happy but also very cautious . It was only 5 months ago today that we lost our pregnancy at 5 1/2 weeks. We are going to just continue praying that God will watch over this pregnancy and that a healthy baby will be born. We give Thanks to God !
