Wanna buy a condo?

Well, as of tomorrow morning our condo will officially be for sale. I'm ready but we'll miss this cute little place. And I'll miss my finished kitchen and bathroom. I'll miss having someone else mowing the lawn and shoveling the snow. I'll miss that I can clean the whole place in half an hour. It's also the only place that Caden has ever lived. He learned to crawl, walk and run here. At the same time though, it is time. I'm going to enjoy having more space in the new house. I'll enjoy having a yard the kids can run around in. We have 5 bedrooms in there and a nice sized space in the basement for a play room. There are two bathrooms and therefore two showers! YAY. Bring on the company! We'll have a garage again. It's another sign of this new chapter in our lives. (the next sign will be the van and I'll let you all know when that happens!). So, ya things are changing. Now we are praying that the condo will sell quickly....

Bringing the outdoor fun indoors...

Caden and I were getting tired of the cool weather on the weekend and we had this sand and water table just sitting outside waiting for summer. It was an early birthday present from Grandma and Grandpa J. Well, we decided to set it up inside. It also gave Caden something to do while Justin and I worked on the condo. We did some painting and other touch ups that were needing to be done. Caden loved it and I can only imagine how much fun it will be when I'm not worrying about the water leaking out.

The week

It's been a week since our last blog and it's been quite a week. All 3 of us ended up with the flu - all on different days at least but it made for a long week. We are trying to get the condo all ready to sell and haven't gotten much done because of being sick. Last saturday we did a lot - and my parents came and helped which was great - but not much since then. Tonight we get back on track and hopefully by tomorrow night we'll be done. I am just SO TIRED all the time. And for some reason I am worrying a lot lately - about everything. Caden's birthday is next week - we are going to Calgary for this one and I just don't feel quite ready. But I want this to be a good one because his life is about to be flipped upside down. He's about to have SO MANY changes that I worry a little about how he'll do or I guess - more that we'll do the right things to make it as easy as possible on him. I know kids adapt really well but they also have emotions t

Our Amazing News - Jen's Post

Ok - now it is my turn. I'm not nearly as entertaining as my husband but I've decided that the rest of my life is going to be a class on having a sense of humor. I mean how else are we going to survive this little adventure? Caden is sitting beside me as I type and he keeps hugging me. He is the cutest thing (now he is sticking his fingers in my ears and laughing hysterically). One of my first thoughts was 'what is this going to do to Caden's life?'. That's one of the thoughts. Among the thousands of other thoughts that have gone through my head are these: - We're going to need a bigger fridge - Their names are not going to start with the same letter - Should they share a crib or not? - How long will they be in the NICU? and are they going to be ok? - God obviously has a sense of humor AND He loves to Bless His children - What if they are all boys? - Should I start making Casseroles now so we have food? Oh wait - I still have months to go... - We have

Thanks!! I Think!! - Justin's Post

So.... Where do I begin.... First off, I blame you all. I mean, what were you thinking. You should have known you were playing with fire. All we asked for was a few prayers. Just some friends and family throwing up a couple of words to the big guy on our behalf. Nothing serious you know. But NOOOO!!! We get a small army of people praying regularly for us. So what happens next?!?!? Thanks to you all, we are now having TRIPLETS!!! That's right. You heard me. You should have known that this is God we are talking about and that when so many people are praying for the same thing, He may be listening. Now, instead of having one baby, we are having 3. What were you thinking?!?!? Perhaps, in a situation like this, a little less praying would have been better. Geeze. : ) So now we are in a mad dash to get stuff done. We are house shopping (actually, we just bought one so yay), mini-van shopping (I know, I just died a little inside just then), we have to finish fixing up ou

A fun saturday

Saturday was a big day for us. We had lots of fun. We headed to Weyburn for my nephew Kieran's second birthday party. The kids played games and we had a bbq and birthday cupcakes and opened presents. After that we went to Estevan and got to take Caden to sit in a real backhoe. Uncle Adam works for SaskPower so we went and saw the bucket truck and a bunch of other stuff. Caden LOVED it. He was a little unsure when uncle started up the backhoe but didn't get real scared. Then we went over to Tim and Sara's for awhile and for supper (no pics of that unfortunately!) and headed home. THE BALLOON TOSS THE BUBBLE CHASE HAPPY BIRTHDAY TO YOU KIERAN CADEN ENJOYING HIS CUPCAKE - YUM ADAM HAS THE SAME BIRTHDAY SO HE GOT SPECIAL CUPCAKES :) BACKHOE!!! LOVIN' IT

sights of Spring

Now that I have an almost 2 year old the signs that spring are here have changed from flowers bursting forth and birds singing. Now I can tell that spring is here because Caden runs around the house in his rubber boots ALL THE TIME and is constantly asking to go 'owside' and to ride his 'bike'. I love that he loves the outdoors. I just wish it was a little warmer but it's not so bad. If I didn't feel like a truck had run over me I'd be thrilled to go out. I'm still feeling terrible but am grateful for it :).

He's better

Caden isn't sick anymore thankfully. He is his regular energetic self. He's eating and playing and all the other fun things a healthy kid should be doing. He puts his rubber boots on all the time. He wears them with his pajama's or with just his diaper on. I got a few pictures and if I ever feel better I will post them. They're pretty cute. I am still pretty queasy most of the time. So I'm not getting much done - I just keep thinking "I'll do it when I feel better" and that will just have to do :). I'm just grateful that things still seem to be progressing as they should be. Not much else going on. Justin took the car in today to get a few things looked at - hopefully it doesn't amount to much. So that's about it. I hope to have something more interesting to post soon :).
