Thanks!! I Think!! - Justin's Post

So.... Where do I begin....

First off, I blame you all. I mean, what were you thinking. You should have known you were playing with fire.

All we asked for was a few prayers. Just some friends and family throwing up a couple of words to the big guy on our behalf. Nothing serious you know. But NOOOO!!! We get a small army of people praying regularly for us. So what happens next?!?!? Thanks to you all, we are now having TRIPLETS!!! That's right. You heard me. You should have known that this is God we are talking about and that when so many people are praying for the same thing, He may be listening. Now, instead of having one baby, we are having 3. What were you thinking?!?!? Perhaps, in a situation like this, a little less praying would have been better. Geeze. : )

So now we are in a mad dash to get stuff done. We are house shopping (actually, we just bought one so yay), mini-van shopping (I know, I just died a little inside just then), we have to finish fixing up our place and get it on the market, AND according to my wife, we even need a bigger fridge. A BIGGER FRIDGE TO STORE FOOD FOR THE 3 BABIES WE ARE HAVING!!! Our life has now been turned upside down and inside out, maybe even a little backwards with some lateral movement thrown in there just to make us feel nauseous.

So, as far as we are concerned, you all got us into this mess, so you had better see us through it. With triplets come complications. We still need your prayers to see us safely through this pregnancy and to the point of bringing our special little babies into this world. We are on a roller coaster ride right now ranging from pure excitement at the prospect of become parents again and to three babies who will bring this world so much joy, and then we plummet down to "WHAT ON EARTH ARE WE DOING!!!!" We worry about the health of the babies and making sure we are doing everything we can to give them the best chance to survive and be healthy. We are more excited than not though and are so eager to be able to hold them in our arms, although we will have to hold them in shifts as holding 3 babies at once with Caden climbing on our heads might not be the best idea we have ever had.

So, check back here often for updates on our journey. Believe me, when we have problems, you are all going to hear about it.

Thank you so much for your prayers. It is great having so many friends and family that care so much. We are definitely in need of that "village" that we hear so much about so you are all welcome into our journey and our lives.

Justin

They are here. They are really really here!!!

It was a cool day. Almost too cold. The kind of cold that makes you rethink your very existence.... Boy. I am waaaay to tired for that. So I will give you the un-dramatic version. So, we are getting bombarded with requests for an update and pictures. So I will oblige and provide you with all the gory details. Actually, there are no gory details. In what can only be described as an amazing answer to many prayers, the new Mooney babies were brought into this world with no problems what so ever. We entered the hospital at 10:00 in the morning and were taken to the surgery room around 12:00 noon. At exactly 12:38, the first baby, Dylan Michael was born weighing in at 6 pounds even. Then, also at 12:38, Evan Timothy also charged into the world weighing in at 5.2 pounds. Then, at 12:39 Liam David was born weighing 4.8 pounds. For those of you good at math, that is a whopping 16 pounds worth of babies. 16 POUNDS!!! And even though them just being born at 36 weeks and 5 days isn

And the final answer is....

The 2 Week Wait is Over

The waiting is finally over. Today was the day - after 2 long weeks of waiting - that I went for my official pregnancy test at the dr.'s office. I had done a couple of Home Pregnancy Tests so I pretty much knew what to expect. I have been praying constantly, as have many of you out there (thank you so much for that). Well, God heard all of us and we are happy to report that the test came back positive. We are really happy but also very cautious . It was only 5 months ago today that we lost our pregnancy at 5 1/2 weeks. We are going to just continue praying that God will watch over this pregnancy and that a healthy baby will be born. We give Thanks to God !
