Ladies Retreat

I just got back from Kenosee Lake today after our ladies Retreat Weekend. I could say so much about that but I'll try to keep it to a minimum and just point out the highlights. I loved spending time with good friends and laughing and talking and just sharing. I loved that Katie Pippus came for her first year. I feel lucky to have been able to share that 'first' with her. I enjoyed sitting in the hottub. I really appreciated the things that our speakers had to say. Each lady ( Sara Pippus, Susan Roberts & Alicia Krogsgaard) had messages from God to help us grow and to see things in a new way or to be reminded of things we thought we already knew. I appreciated the wonderful prayer group that I got to be a part of. We prayed but we also laughed and we young'uns got wise words to take home with us. It's so nice to share with others. I am so happy to have been able to have a good good laugh at our coffee house ( not too mention wonderful cheesecakes and c

Life

I've been feeling like I should be sharing a little about what is going on in our lives right now. We've had some company and done some visiting. We are keeping busy with teaching Sunday school and doing some church bookkeeping. Justin's work has slowed down but he is still somewhat busy with stuff there. Caden is enjoying library class on Monday mornings. He is still really into trains, construction stuff and footballs, basketballs, tennis balls, soccer balls, pucks and on and on. He likes to color and paint some and is more and more into books all the time. We have some struggles with getting him to eat and sometimes with getting him to nap in the afternoon. We just keep plugging along. Things are good. AND ... we are going to do IVF again. I did mention it once before and there really isn't much to say. We go to Calgary on March 7th or so and will be back the next week sometime. The pregnancy test will be around the 21st of March. I'm having trouble k

Happy Valentine's Day

HAPPY VALENTINES DAY FROM THE MOONEYS!!!

Oops

So I was letting Caden play in his room. I was doing something downstairs but wasn't concerned because I could hear him playing basketball. Then a few minutes went by with no sound so I yelled up to him and I could hear by his response that he was all the way up on the 3rd floor. I zip upstairs imagining the worst - like he drank cologne or soap or something (James is staying up there and I wasn't sure what might be around) and he is sitting in the middle of the carpet having touched nothing at all except the pen he is holding in his hand. He looks up at me and he is holding this pen and there is writing all over his hands and his legs. It was hilarious. I probably should have reprimanded him but instead I couldn't stop laughing. The look on his face was priceless. Anyway here is a picture of the artwork.

Family in February

(I'm taking the pic and Caden is napping so there were 8 people and 2 dogs in our condo for the weekend - LOVE IT!) We started February out right! Caden got to see his Grandma and Grandpa Mooney again on thurs/fri. and enjoyed that. He was really excited to see them again so soon. And then Adam and Trinda, kids and dog came for the weekend. We didn't remember to take very many pictures - having too much fun I guess! We mostly hung out, played and ate. On saturday we took all the kids to the science center. It was Caden's first time. He had fun running around and trying all the neat stuff. Trinda and I shopped a little. I think one of my favorite parts was watching Caden with his big cousins. I just enjoy that so much. He loves following them around and copying everything they do and say. I have to laugh but right at this moment (it's tuesday - almost noon) he is opening our front door saying "uncle? auntie? uncle? auntie?" in his really cute v
