My day so far

It's 6:30 am. I am tired! It's the same ole story. But in case you are interested, here's how last night/this morning went..... 2:30 - Evan wakes up, takes a soother and goes back to sleep 4:45 - Evan wakes up, takes a soother and is fairly quiet for 15 minutes 5:00 - Evan starts fussing more so I get him a bottle and go back to bed and lay there listening. 5:02 - Caden gets up to go to the bathroom. 5 - 5:30 - Evan makes occasional awake noises and I wait it out until, by 530, he is quiet and has gone back to sleep 5:31 - Dylan wakes up - I get him a bottle and come back upstairs in the hopes that he'll go back to sleep 5:45 - Dylan and Liam are both making noises and are awake. 6:15 - I try to check emails and maybe even blog but Dylan is over here trying to get at everything in my computer cupboard - so I close the doors and try to keep the kids quiet so the other 3 that are still asleep, can stay asleep for awhile longer. 6:25 - I decide to blog b/c it may be my

Insanely busy

I cannot believe how busy life can get. I should get used to it I suppose! It used to be that I could get stuff done while the babies were awake. It's so much harder now that they are so mobile. Besides the fact of needing to keep a pretty close eye on them, I can't load the dishwasher or do work on the computer or sweep or mop or anything like that because they are right there in it. Pulling stuff out of the dishwasher and so on. So that mostly waits until they look too busy to notice what I'm doing or are in bed. But if I wait til they are in bed to do that, then I have less opportunity to get dressed or spend time with Caden and whatever else there is. So - things are busy. That is also to explain my slowing up here on the blog as well. Plus, I've been lucky enough to have people around. YAY!! Caden has had a lot more kids to play with lately and we've had a variety of people over. That makes his day a lot more interesting and visiting with my friend

GO Yellow Team!!

For those of you that don't know them, that's James (Justin's big brother) and Nicola in the yellow. It's so neat to see people we know and are related to in a tv advertisement! SO exciting. As you can see, their show starts on Oct. 4. For more info check out this link .

Standing and Stuff!!

Dylan is standing!! Only for a few seconds at a time but he's standing! He's so big. He drives cars around on the floor on his hands and knees. He is climbing up onto everything. It's scary sometimes. He thinks he's at least 2! ADVENTURES IN VACUUMING. We don't normally vacuum when the babies are awake but we did this day and this is what it looked like: Here comes one kiddo... Getting closer... And now all three want to check it out. None of them were afraid at all. Just curious. Ahh, they got it! Now what? And the other recent step into big boyhood... Dylan and Evan have moved on up to the front facing chair. They look so big in these chairs. I never knew what to do with the third baby while we were in this park but a few of you suggested putting two together. For some reason that thought never even crossed my mind. So, yesterday we gave it a try. They are close to being too big for it but they sure liked it. And all three were able to swing at on

For the first time in a year....

...we have both slept for over 7 hours for two nights in a row!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Apparently, separating the boys has been the answer all along - why did I wait so long to try it!!?! It doesn't matter now. What does matter is that they slept 10 and 11 hours the past two nights, without a single sound in the night. A beautiful, beautiful thing!! A few other things... Liam is getting another tooth, on the top. Caden is loving having Elijah and Michael McMillan in town. They play together really well and have a lot in common. It's fun! He's also doing well in gymnastics again this year. He went up one step and so it is a little longer of a class and the kids are generally better behaved so they get to participate a little more in the actual activities. I am in the middle of switching the kids carseats. I can't lift Dylan and Evan in theirs anymore so we're putting the big chairs in for them now. Liam is still a little small to switch but it won't be long. Th

Finally - pics from the long weekend

On the long weekend we decided to brave a weekend at Clearview with all the kids. It was our Church Retreat. Overall it was worth the effort but there was ALOT of effort. It was more work than I had thought and we got next to no sleep at all. We were so grumpy. Every night when we were awake at 2 and 3 and 4, we decided to go home that day. But then we wouldn't. We made it through the weekend. You'll see in the pictures that we had lots of help and had lots of fun. Especially Caden. He loves to be around people and to be busy so he was in his element. He participated in everything he could, even if he was a little small for some stuff. Thanks to everyone that helped make it so great! Evan and Liam - they spent a fair bit of time in their strollers. Even eating in them for most meals. Caden found this fabulous creature. We had lots of people willing to help with the babies. And not just our babies. Our church has a lot of babies!! SO we're lucky to have lots of
