Prayers requested

Will you pray for us? We will be leaving for Calgary at the end of this week and next week we are going to the clinic to try to have another baby. It's kind of trying because it is our third attempt with IVF this year but at the same time we have been given a miracle already the year before. We feel hopeful but also scared of being disappointed again. We so badly want another child but we could also use some prayers that we would have strength no matter what happens. I pray that the doctors will be guided by God's hand and that my body will be a welcoming host to a healthy embryo. I will also really need patience and peace during the 2 weeks we have to wait til the pregnancy test (likely will be around the 16-19th of Oct). This past month has gone by nice and fast. That hasn't happened for us before and we are grateful for it. Here it is now just days away. Amazing. I have been having to remember to take a pill or a nasal spray 9 different times a day (last week there were

Maggie and her parents come for a visit

James and Nicola and Maggie came to visit us this past week. It was so nice to get to spend so much time with all of them. I even got to watch Maggie for them for a few hours one day which was great. Maggie is about 3 months old and really smiling and talking alot in her little language. I love it! We talked and laughed and ate and played games and went for a walk. It was a really nice time. Here's a pic of the family. This is Caden giving Maggie some love - She's not so sure :). He loved to hug her and to try and give her the soother when it fell out. Pretty cute. I threw this one in because we all thought Caden looked SO much like Justin here. Dontchya think?

The family went to Minot

Last weekend (yes I am a week behind) Justin, Caden and I went to Minot with my parents and my brothers and their families. We had poolside rooms all in a row so we did alot of swimming. We did some shopping and we went to the zoo. The adults spent fun time together and played games once all the kids went to bed. It was a really fun weekend that I am sure we will do again.

My friend moved away today

My friend Amy found the love of her life. I could not be happier for her. It is fabulous! Way to go Amy :). Unfortunately he lives in Alberta and after finding a job and a place to live, Amy has left us. She officially moved out of Regina today. We will miss her so much. Caden would run into her arms whenever he saw her. We always did the coffee's and the movies and the 'stuff' there is to do around here. It won't be the same. We send her off with love and best wishes but we are sad that we will only see her once in a while. Have fun Amy!

A Budding Artist

I decided that it was time for Caden to start doing some crafty type things. I'm used to doing that everyday from when I had daycare kids. We tried coloring yesterday and he enjoyed it. He eventually tried to taste the crayons but soon rejected that idea. YUCK! Today we did pudding painting. He wasn't too sure at first. You can see the scowl in the first pic. I think he is trying to decide whether he wants his hands to be that dirty or not. He must have figured it was alright and went for it. After about 5 minutes of some real artwork he came up with the thought "what would this taste like" and the craft time got even more fun! :) I was laughing so hard. I am so loving getting to finally do these things with my kid.
First of all - Labour Day Classic - WOO HOO RIDERS!! Justin's parents spent the long weekend here with us. We had lots of fun. Judy and I did some shopping. I was thrilled to get a Michael's coupon so that I could buy more scrapbooking stuff. The four of us were able to have a nice supper out (thanks to Todd and Lindsay for taking Caden for us). Quincy (Jack and Judy's dog) has been here in Regina the past few months being trained as a hunting dog but he is finished now and they were happy to be able to pick him up and take him home. But only after Jack got some training too of course. He went out a couple of times so that they could show him what the cues were and stuff. It would be interesting to see Quincy in action and see everything he has learned. He's sure looking good. It was a really nice weekend. Caden was sad to see his grandma and grandpa go.
