Caden got this from his grandma in Calgary when he was little and he wanted to wear it. This made him really want one that fits. I told him that when we go to Calgary this summer we will get him one because they have TONNES of cowboy hats there. A few days later when he wanted to ask something about seeing the grandparents from Calgary he couldn't remember the name of the city. So - he says "what is that city that has the cowboy hats?". I thought that was funny both because that was how he asked and also that I apparently led him to believe that that is the only place with those hats. :) Anyway! The little boys look awfully cute in the hat too! We'll have to get them all one. Dylan left it on the longest. Whose kids are these anyway? A bunch of hams. This weekend was so much fun. Adam and Trinda and their kids came on friday night. On saturday we had a picnic at the park and then they went to a movie (took Justin along) while my kids napped. Then we play

The good, the bad and the.... well, the still really cute.

Like the title says - we've had some good times and some not so good times in the past couple of days. Sunday was a really good day. We got some work done at the house and had some fun. The best part though was that Justin and Caden were able to go kayaking. Caden's first time. He had so much fun. They went at Wascana Park - you can rent canoes and kayak's. They spent the hour just out on the water. I wish the rest of the family could have been there too but those days will come. At least Caden got to try something new and he and his dad had a nice time together (and it wasn't raining! WOO HOO!). So this is the good: Monday was not a good day. I was up at 3am and never did get back to sleep that night. I was so tired that my only goal was to feed the kids, keep them safe (ha ha) and make it through the day or at least until Justin got home. It didn't help that the kids had the runs. I changed nearly a thousand diapers yesterday (they are much better t

Summer

I took these pictures today. We had a huge storm last night but today is sunny and hot. A perfect summer day. The kids ran around in the yard and played with the slip and slide and in the water. After that we had our lunch outside. Eating outside is one of my favorite things and it's especially nice to keep the messes outside. We were eventually driven in by the mosquitoes. They are determined little critters. It was either come in or apply bug spray for the third time and I figured the kids could do without that. So I washed all the mud off of them and sent them all in the house naked and we got clean clothes when we came in. Summertime!! Good stuff.
