Catching up some more...

Some other fun stuff so far this summer included a birthday party, a muddy walk and a new bike. Caden was invited to celebrate Elijah McMillan's birthday last week and they were able to jump on the trampoline and destroy a pinata, eat cake and open presents. Lots of fun!! We are happy to say that this fall, Elijah and his family are going to come and live here in Regina. Caden will love having another hockey fan to play with and we will enjoy having good friends so close by again!!

Thanks for the present!!
So the kids and I went for a walk the other day and Caden took all of the pictures. Here is a picture of his muddy foot after he stepped in a puddle. He's so funny. After this he wanted to go home and wash it off. I think he just found an excuse to possibly use the water hose and wanted to hurry home and take advantage of it.
Also on this walk I had a couple of experiences that were due completely to having the triplets along. Within our first block walked, a van drove by with a couple of ladies smiling like crazy at us. That happens all the time so I didn't think anything of it. The next thing you know - they pulled up beside us and a super friendly lady opened her window and says :

"Hello! I am from New Zealand (accent and everything -so cool) and my sister has triplets and we've never seen a buggy (yep - she said buggy) like that before. Would you mind if I took a picture?" I knew this time would come. I had heard about it from other moms of triplets and I wasn't sure what I would do. Well, this lady was so completely nice and i was so happy to have met her that I let her take the picture and we had a small chat. It was really nice. She drove away and we walked another block. There was an older man working in his yard. He looks up and says "you don't see that everyday!" I smiled as we always do b/c we seldom get by somebody without some kind of comment being made. Then he said "congratulations" and smiled. It was great!! I thought about how I could decide that this was an intrusion. That it is a curse to be so noticed and 'bothered' all the time but I just couldn't. It was a blessing and I loved having those experiences. Made the walk more interesting!! I met someone from New Zealand. That would never have happened otherwise. The biggest thing that struck me that day was that after years and years of sitting in meetings or thinking to ourselves "what can we do to get to know our neighbours better?" or "or how can we meet new people so that we can be available to them as friends, servants and messagers of the good news of God?", here I am with one of the biggest conversation openers I can think of !! So, instead of seeing all this attention as a curse, I see it as a gift from God and I certainly hope that I don't waste the opportunities that it provides me!!

Okay, next...

This is Caden with his new bike from Grandma and Grandpa Jocelyn. We picked it up in Minot and he has really enjoyed learning how to ride it.

Caden rode his bike to the park and here are the babies all bundled up (it is summer but...). Liam didn't quite make it. Poor guy :)

That brings us to our fun visit from the Pippus crew. This was a long post so I'll wait a day or two to put that up.

They are here. They are really really here!!!

It was a cool day. Almost too cold. The kind of cold that makes you rethink your very existence.... Boy. I am waaaay to tired for that. So I will give you the un-dramatic version. So, we are getting bombarded with requests for an update and pictures. So I will oblige and provide you with all the gory details. Actually, there are no gory details. In what can only be described as an amazing answer to many prayers, the new Mooney babies were brought into this world with no problems what so ever. We entered the hospital at 10:00 in the morning and were taken to the surgery room around 12:00 noon. At exactly 12:38, the first baby, Dylan Michael was born weighing in at 6 pounds even. Then, also at 12:38, Evan Timothy also charged into the world weighing in at 5.2 pounds. Then, at 12:39 Liam David was born weighing 4.8 pounds. For those of you good at math, that is a whopping 16 pounds worth of babies. 16 POUNDS!!! And even though them just being born at 36 weeks and 5 days isn

The 2 Week Wait is Over

The waiting is finally over. Today was the day - after 2 long weeks of waiting - that I went for my official pregnancy test at the dr.'s office. I had done a couple of Home Pregnancy Tests so I pretty much knew what to expect. I have been praying constantly, as have many of you out there (thank you so much for that). Well, God heard all of us and we are happy to report that the test came back positive. We are really happy but also very cautious . It was only 5 months ago today that we lost our pregnancy at 5 1/2 weeks. We are going to just continue praying that God will watch over this pregnancy and that a healthy baby will be born. We give Thanks to God !
