Farewell Summer

After reading another friends' blog and thinking about how glad I am that they blog so that we can keep up with what is going on with their family even though we live in different places, I felt a pang of guilt for not keeping mine up over this last little while.  I thought I should give an update.  We did our best to soak up as much of the last bit of summer holidays that we could.  Before school started we attacked our 100 things to do list which included a weekend with Justin's brother Josh (I was away at the spa with my good friend Vicki - Aaaaahhhh Lovely!!) where he and Justin took the boys bowling, on mall rides,to the photo booth and then home to have a pillow fight with Risa ( our new friend from Japan that was here as an ESL student) and make paper airplanes.  When I got home I joined them and we had a party night.  We took the kids on a hike to top a hill and watch the sun go down.  They we did a pinata, made balloon animals, made caramel popcorn, did potato stamping and then the boys slept in a tent.  I'm sorry but yes, my accomplishing the "sleep in a tent"  meant a tent set up in the basement.  That week we went on to visit the bird sanctuary with Risa and feed the birds.  We had a game night and a Bbq with friends who have a trampoline.  That was a crazy time.  I was pleasantly surprised to have everyone walk away undamaged from that experience :).  We finished up the summer with taking the boys to their first fireworks, first time kayaking (for the triplets), made a pillow fort and then destroyed it, played with remote control cars, tried playing marbles (Evan has amazing aim!), made a robot out of Cardboard boxes and took the kids out to Caden's favorite restaurant, Boston Pizza, for a last day of summer celebration meal.  The kids did really well at a sit down restaurant.  In between all of that fun we played at the spray park, in the pool in the backyard, had freezies and slurpees.  We had lots and lots of visitors, celebrated the sweetest wedding ever (Crystal Downton and Kevin Cornish), met baby Annabelle Flitton for the first time and fell for her in an instant.  Caden was crazy to hold her and cuddle her.  So sweet.  And that was all before school started.  This is a little lengthy.  I think I'll wait on the starting school updates for next time.  Farewell summer, it was a good one.

They are here. They are really really here!!!

It was a cool day. Almost too cold. The kind of cold that makes you rethink your very existence.... Boy. I am waaaay to tired for that. So I will give you the un-dramatic version. So, we are getting bombarded with requests for an update and pictures. So I will oblige and provide you with all the gory details. Actually, there are no gory details. In what can only be described as an amazing answer to many prayers, the new Mooney babies were brought into this world with no problems what so ever. We entered the hospital at 10:00 in the morning and were taken to the surgery room around 12:00 noon. At exactly 12:38, the first baby, Dylan Michael was born weighing in at 6 pounds even. Then, also at 12:38, Evan Timothy also charged into the world weighing in at 5.2 pounds. Then, at 12:39 Liam David was born weighing 4.8 pounds. For those of you good at math, that is a whopping 16 pounds worth of babies. 16 POUNDS!!! And even though them just being born at 36 weeks and 5 days isn

The 2 Week Wait is Over

The waiting is finally over. Today was the day - after 2 long weeks of waiting - that I went for my official pregnancy test at the dr.'s office. I had done a couple of Home Pregnancy Tests so I pretty much knew what to expect. I have been praying constantly, as have many of you out there (thank you so much for that). Well, God heard all of us and we are happy to report that the test came back positive. We are really happy but also very cautious . It was only 5 months ago today that we lost our pregnancy at 5 1/2 weeks. We are going to just continue praying that God will watch over this pregnancy and that a healthy baby will be born. We give Thanks to God !
