A quick update

I'm not feeling too well today - just getting over the flu - but I know people come here for updates so I thought I'd quickly write that things are still going well (not counting the hideous flu!). Caden and Justin have both been feeling a little sick as well but luckily it hasn't gotten as bad.

We loved having some family and some friends here over the long weekend. It felt like a holiday at home. Which, of course, is the only kind I can have at the moment. I would have liked to have gone to some of the lectureship stuff but what can you do!!!

I am now 34 weeks and 1 day which is just great. And that is about it.

Today, in particular, I'm feeling a little low. I'm tired of waiting and being on bedrest. I'm still hoping for another week or two but some days it just gets really old. I'm sort of mourning my old life a little. that life that I'll never have again. It's a strange thought. Don't get me wrong, my new life is going to be fantastic and fuller than I can even imagine. but to have that, you still have to let something go.

Anyway.... I'm sure it's all just the hormones :)

Thank goodness, I thought it was just me mourning my 'old life' with just the three of us,and this new little one hasn't even arrived yet! Hormones aren't our friends some days - and neither is the stomach flu. You're likley sick of hearing this, but rest up now while you still can... the winds of change are coming. Laura

hey Jen! i'm glad i got to be a part of your 'old life' - ahhhh! university days, just dropping by, justin whipping up some ice tea, and just chatting. hmmm, sounds to me like we could still do some of that - minus that 'university' and adding in my husband and your 3 boys! i'm looking forward to those days! hope you're feeling better now.

I constantly look for updates, thanks for taking the time to do that. I'm sure it isn't easy for you, I can remember what it was like closing to the end myself. All I can say is hang in there; there is so... many people thinking, caring and praying for you all right now. Feel the warmth & love that is flowing for you across the country!
Take Care,

Definitely a lot of sacrifices with having triplets; we know!! Just remember not to stop doing everything you loved before...it just might get altered a bit. We never hesitated to go out to dinner and bring the boys in their car seats and request a table for 5 cause we needed the chairs for the car seats. It's an adjustment, but life doesn't have to be totally different. You guys are amazing and you can call on us any time.

Only 6 more days and you'll beat me having the boys at 35 weeks!!

They are here. They are really really here!!!

It was a cool day. Almost too cold. The kind of cold that makes you rethink your very existence.... Boy. I am waaaay to tired for that. So I will give you the un-dramatic version. So, we are getting bombarded with requests for an update and pictures. So I will oblige and provide you with all the gory details. Actually, there are no gory details. In what can only be described as an amazing answer to many prayers, the new Mooney babies were brought into this world with no problems what so ever. We entered the hospital at 10:00 in the morning and were taken to the surgery room around 12:00 noon. At exactly 12:38, the first baby, Dylan Michael was born weighing in at 6 pounds even. Then, also at 12:38, Evan Timothy also charged into the world weighing in at 5.2 pounds. Then, at 12:39 Liam David was born weighing 4.8 pounds. For those of you good at math, that is a whopping 16 pounds worth of babies. 16 POUNDS!!! And even though them just being born at 36 weeks and 5 days isn

The 2 Week Wait is Over

The waiting is finally over. Today was the day - after 2 long weeks of waiting - that I went for my official pregnancy test at the dr.'s office. I had done a couple of Home Pregnancy Tests so I pretty much knew what to expect. I have been praying constantly, as have many of you out there (thank you so much for that). Well, God heard all of us and we are happy to report that the test came back positive. We are really happy but also very cautious . It was only 5 months ago today that we lost our pregnancy at 5 1/2 weeks. We are going to just continue praying that God will watch over this pregnancy and that a healthy baby will be born. We give Thanks to God !
