Sunday was Caden's birthday and he had a really great day. When he woke up there were balloons all over the place and a birthday ribbon that he could wear. He was pretty giddy with joy, right off the bat. Everyone at church sang Happy Birthday to him and he got a lot of attention. He got a little shy about it after a while. Chris and Sherry and their kids came to church with us and then we went home to wait for the Max and Ruby show at the center of the arts. If you don't know what Max and Ruby is, count yourself lucky!! no..just kidding... it is a cartoon and this show was the live version. :) Not everyone loved it but Caden had a really good time. He sang along and danced and clapped. It was cute. I'm glad I took him and I'm really glad he had some cousins and a couple of auntie's there too! After that we went back to our house for 'shoot the puck in the net', then pizza, then cake and presents. He had been asking for a hockey cake for the longest time. The first thing he said that morning was "where's my hockey cake?". He's still playing with the little guys and nets from the cake.
He loved every single thing he got and has been going from one to the other to play with things or watch dvd's - what ever it is. He was pretty happy and everyone made him feel so special. I just loved seeing him so incredibly happy.
Last night some friends of ours came over to help finish up the pizza and cake and to say happy birthday one more time to Caden. It was nice for us to see some people we haven't seen in a long time. Last week I was so stressed out, I guess we'd had a lot going on, and I couldn't help but worry about my dad. Now that things have slowed down and dad is on the mend, I feel a million times better. The babies even cooperated and slept until 6 last night! That's a miracle, believe me!
