Happy St. Patrick's Day

Well, we tried to trap a leprechaun again but I forgot to take pictures this year. We did a trap that falls open on top when the leprechaun steps on it. He's sure to step up on it because we put a rainbow cupcake and some coins on it. This morning we checked and sure enough - he was here - he left green footprints everywhere again - but he got away with his magical abilities. We missed him for the second year! Oh well. He was nice enough to leave the kids some green treats though. And they are all wearing green to celebrate this Irish holiday. We are Mooneys after all.

Caden and I were able to go on a date this week. We went out to eat and then to the science center and just enjoyed some time with each other. It was so nice. He really liked sitting in the restaurant. Said that that was way better than eating in the van. What can I say - the kid hasn't been in a restaurant in about a year and a half. So - it was a real treat. I love talking to him when I'm able to just be with him and listen. He speaks so well - it's fun to hear what is going on in his head. His imagination is going full steam these days. It was nice to walk around and hold his hand and talk about things. He asks a lot of questions too - wants to know everything. And how to spell everything. Everything he sees he asks how to spell it.

The little boys are doing well. Everyone is healthy again and Evan walks all the time now. I tried putting up a video the other day and it didn't work. I'll try again. I'm loving that when we get up at 630 the sun is starting to come up. Makes me not mind it so much.

We have the boys sharing rooms now and it is working out just fine. Caden sleeps through Evan crying in the night (and he only cries out sometimes now). Liam and Dylan sleep through to 6 or 630 pretty much everyday. Caden has stopped calling out to us in the night (at least for now) and gets up between 7 and 8. The little boys nap for at least 2 hours in the afternoon and at the same time. It is a lovely time of day to have some peace, spend time with Caden and get a few things done. So things are going well, the weather is making everyone more cheerful ( and muddy!) and I'm getting braver about getting the kids out more. They are getting so big. I just went through their clothes and Evan and Dylan are wearing size 24 m shirts! They still aren't in all of their 18m pants yet though.

So I am really looking forward to spring and I can't help but think about summer coming and taking Caden and the boys to the beach. :) I'm trying to be patient. At least the snow is melting...

They are here. They are really really here!!!

It was a cool day. Almost too cold. The kind of cold that makes you rethink your very existence.... Boy. I am waaaay to tired for that. So I will give you the un-dramatic version. So, we are getting bombarded with requests for an update and pictures. So I will oblige and provide you with all the gory details. Actually, there are no gory details. In what can only be described as an amazing answer to many prayers, the new Mooney babies were brought into this world with no problems what so ever. We entered the hospital at 10:00 in the morning and were taken to the surgery room around 12:00 noon. At exactly 12:38, the first baby, Dylan Michael was born weighing in at 6 pounds even. Then, also at 12:38, Evan Timothy also charged into the world weighing in at 5.2 pounds. Then, at 12:39 Liam David was born weighing 4.8 pounds. For those of you good at math, that is a whopping 16 pounds worth of babies. 16 POUNDS!!! And even though them just being born at 36 weeks and 5 days isn

The 2 Week Wait is Over

The waiting is finally over. Today was the day - after 2 long weeks of waiting - that I went for my official pregnancy test at the dr.'s office. I had done a couple of Home Pregnancy Tests so I pretty much knew what to expect. I have been praying constantly, as have many of you out there (thank you so much for that). Well, God heard all of us and we are happy to report that the test came back positive. We are really happy but also very cautious . It was only 5 months ago today that we lost our pregnancy at 5 1/2 weeks. We are going to just continue praying that God will watch over this pregnancy and that a healthy baby will be born. We give Thanks to God !
