Halloween Fun

Here are some Halloween moments. Earlier in the week we did our pumpkins. Caden helped choose the patterns and Justin did the carving.

Caden - our little pirate. He had the "ARRH" down perfectly.

Caden went trick or treating with his friends, Elijah and Michael. That was lots of fun for him.
Earlier on we had dressed up the babies for a photo shoot. Liam is a dalmation. Cute little puppy suits him, I think.

Evan was a cute little lion. He was as content as ever in his costume.

Dylan was a dragon. There was a head for this costume. Here he is without it...

And now with it...
We just could not get him to wear it and be happy. Poor kid. He was happiest once he got out of his costume.

We tried to get a pic of all of them but it didn't really work. Here are the candids we did get during our effort.

Halloween was a lot of fun for Caden. This year he was old enough to look forward to it and to really get into it. I was really glad that he went out with some friends. The other three... well, I'm just glad I didn't try to take them out. Ugh, what a thought!! Next year??... We'll see I guess!

Happy Birthday Liam, Evan and Dylan. Wow, an entire year has passed since we first met...and mama still has her sanity...well, at least most of it. Have a wonderful celebration. We will be watching for the photos.
Oh, a Dylan seems to be quite taken up with the remote...who's that remind you of???

They are here. They are really really here!!!

It was a cool day. Almost too cold. The kind of cold that makes you rethink your very existence.... Boy. I am waaaay to tired for that. So I will give you the un-dramatic version. So, we are getting bombarded with requests for an update and pictures. So I will oblige and provide you with all the gory details. Actually, there are no gory details. In what can only be described as an amazing answer to many prayers, the new Mooney babies were brought into this world with no problems what so ever. We entered the hospital at 10:00 in the morning and were taken to the surgery room around 12:00 noon. At exactly 12:38, the first baby, Dylan Michael was born weighing in at 6 pounds even. Then, also at 12:38, Evan Timothy also charged into the world weighing in at 5.2 pounds. Then, at 12:39 Liam David was born weighing 4.8 pounds. For those of you good at math, that is a whopping 16 pounds worth of babies. 16 POUNDS!!! And even though them just being born at 36 weeks and 5 days isn...

Just the 6 of us now

I haven't blogged for a few days. It's been busy around here! But lots of fun. I'm feeling very tired tonight and will likely go to bed soon! We had a fun weekend with Justin's mom and Adam and Trinda and their kids. Trinda took some pictures for us again. Keep watching and I'll post some when I get them - it'll be a couple of weeks likely. Caden had SO much fun with his cousins, as he always does. They just go downstairs and we don't hear from them for a long time. Just some laughing and an occasional scrap. The triplets are eating ALOT and we're seeing them continue to fill out and get heavier. Things are going well. Justin's mom went home tonight so it's just the 6 of us this week. Justin is taking some holidays now. It'll be a nice time together. I'm looking forward to it but I know it'll be tougher now that our overnight help is gone. A baby is crying and Caden needs to be put to bed soon so I have to go.... Here ...

Did you know?

So, did you know that exercising regularly can help you have more energy!? Okay, so did I. And did you know that eating healthily also helps with that? As does going to bed at a decent time at night? I guess we all know that but I haven't been good at acting like I know that. I was getting frustrated. I was just so tired in the evenings. I wasn't having the kind of quality time with my kids or my husband that I wanted. I didn't feel like going out with friends in the evening. I was okay during the day but that's not when I am with my people, for the most part anyway. Sometimes, I would fall asleep on the couch before my kids bedtime!! If I wasn't asleep, I was lethargic and unmotivated. Just not the me that I wanted to be. It doesn't sound like much, but I just couldn't stand wanting to be intentional but not having the energy to do the things that mattered to me. And my kids are 9,9,9 and 11. That's old enough that I can't use the...
