Hi, I'm home!!

As Justin informed you all, I was able to come home and do my bedrest here. My dr. managed to drag it out for four days but finally I am out. I feel ok. Never comfortable obviously and oh so huge!! It's a good thing I'm on bedrest because I can't really carry this belly around anymore anyway. The babies are very active and I enjoy feeling them move. They are so tightly in there though that sometimes it kind of hurts.

My mom came for the past two days and kept Caden. They spent most of the day up in my room with me which was really nice. I had company and got to see Caden for more than an hour and a half. He seems to be handling everything pretty well but I sure miss the 'normal' things. The visits in the hospital are not exactly mother/son moments, you know? So, last night I got to give him a hug and a kiss goodnight. Today I'll see him when he comes home at lunch. It's SO MUCH better. My bed is more comfortable and it's so much cooler in here. I was overheated most of the time in the hospital which is the WORST.

We had a tour of the Neo Natal Intensive Care Unit where the babies will end up- unless we make it to 35 or 36 wks, which my doctor assures me, we wont. It was nice to get a visual of what to expect. The babies in there are so tiny. There was one little 3 pounder - wow. Our guys are already bigger than that, which is somewhat reassuring. The neo natalogist filled us in on what all the machines are for and the things that they are most concerned about with preemie's. I really appreciated all the information. I just hope we hold out long enough that they don't need to be in there too long.

I guess that's the update for now. Now I'll just be sitting on my couch :). I've got a good book so I'll go read that.

Jen, Here is the link to tehe nursing pillow I told you about. This pillow is a life saver and you will be able to hold all threee babies using this pillow. YOu can nurse two at once and hold the third. Anyways I would not have survived without this pillow and would never have succeeded at breastfeeding.
Now you behave yourself and stay in bed! I know how tough it is being on bed rest. You will get through it though and won't even rememmber how boring it was once the babies are here. YOu will be wishing you were still on it soon after the babies come LOL.
Take care,
J'nea

Glad you are home. I know that it is much easier and more relaxing in your own space. I hoipe that you will be able to stay put though and not over do anything. You've come this far, hold in there. Your little bundles of joy will be coming sooner than you think! We think of you often. Take Care

They are here. They are really really here!!!

It was a cool day. Almost too cold. The kind of cold that makes you rethink your very existence.... Boy. I am waaaay to tired for that. So I will give you the un-dramatic version. So, we are getting bombarded with requests for an update and pictures. So I will oblige and provide you with all the gory details. Actually, there are no gory details. In what can only be described as an amazing answer to many prayers, the new Mooney babies were brought into this world with no problems what so ever. We entered the hospital at 10:00 in the morning and were taken to the surgery room around 12:00 noon. At exactly 12:38, the first baby, Dylan Michael was born weighing in at 6 pounds even. Then, also at 12:38, Evan Timothy also charged into the world weighing in at 5.2 pounds. Then, at 12:39 Liam David was born weighing 4.8 pounds. For those of you good at math, that is a whopping 16 pounds worth of babies. 16 POUNDS!!! And even though them just being born at 36 weeks and 5 days isn

The 2 Week Wait is Over

The waiting is finally over. Today was the day - after 2 long weeks of waiting - that I went for my official pregnancy test at the dr.'s office. I had done a couple of Home Pregnancy Tests so I pretty much knew what to expect. I have been praying constantly, as have many of you out there (thank you so much for that). Well, God heard all of us and we are happy to report that the test came back positive. We are really happy but also very cautious . It was only 5 months ago today that we lost our pregnancy at 5 1/2 weeks. We are going to just continue praying that God will watch over this pregnancy and that a healthy baby will be born. We give Thanks to God !
