Adventures

Finally, life has gotten a little variety in it! Obviously some things have to be done differently because we have triplets and a 2 year old but I'm pretty determined to just try things and see what happens. It's funny how these things are normal everyday things to most people but, for us and the kids, they are adventures!! It's been fun though and it sure beats sitting around the house.

MY ADVENTURE IN GOING OUT, ON MY OWN, WITH ALL 4 KIDS
Yep, I did it! I loaded the kids in the van and headed across town to visit our friends, Bob and Kim. So - ya - it's not like really being on my own since I had so much help when I got to where I was going but it was a good way to start!

Caden, as always, got some yummy snacks and he got to play with a kitten! And I had a nice visit and a yummy snack too! Well worth the trip across town! Thanks to Kim and Bob for having all of us!

THE ADVENTURE OF GETTING EVERYONE DRESSED FOR CHURCH
By the time all the kids are fed and dressed I'm ready for a nap! Needless to say - they don't wear shirts, vests and pants everyday! My poor kids are in their sleepers every day, unless we leave the house - and sometimes even then! (I still manage to dress myself and Caden every day and Justin hasn't started wearing his pj's to work yet!)


OUR ADVENTURE IN DINING OUT
This was our first walk all together. Justin was also impressed with the easy maneuverability of our baby limo! We ended up leaving so late for our walk that we were going to miss supper. SO, since we had been talking about wanting to try going out to eat with the babies, we decided to walk over to the McDonalds near our house and see how it would go. It went great! It wasn't very busy, there was a good spot to park the stroller and the babies were perfectly content. We won't talk about the food, this is not usually a choice of ours - but hey - you have to start somewhere!

It was a cool day. Almost too cold. The kind of cold that makes you rethink your very existence.... Boy. I am waaaay to tired for that. So I will give you the un-dramatic version. So, we are getting bombarded with requests for an update and pictures. So I will oblige and provide you with all the gory details. Actually, there are no gory details. In what can only be described as an amazing answer to many prayers, the new Mooney babies were brought into this world with no problems what so ever. We entered the hospital at 10:00 in the morning and were taken to the surgery room around 12:00 noon. At exactly 12:38, the first baby, Dylan Michael was born weighing in at 6 pounds even. Then, also at 12:38, Evan Timothy also charged into the world weighing in at 5.2 pounds. Then, at 12:39 Liam David was born weighing 4.8 pounds. Did you know?

So, did you know that exercising regularly can help you have more energy!? Okay, so did I. And did you know that eating healthily also helps with that? As does going to bed at a decent time at night? I guess we all know that but I haven't been good at acting like I know that. I was getting frustrated. I was just so tired in the evenings. I wasn't having the kind of quality time with my kids or my husband that I wanted. I didn't feel like going out with friends in the evening. I was okay during the day but that's not when I am with my people, for the most part anyway. Sometimes, I would fall asleep on the couch before my kids bedtime!! If I wasn't asleep, I was lethargic and unmotivated. Just not the me that I wanted to be. It doesn't sound like much, but I just couldn't stand wanting to be intentional but not having the energy to do the things that mattered to me. And my kids are 9,9,9 and 11. Well, thank you all for your guesses. I found them interesting. I had one person guess 4 babies. I don't let him come to our blog anymore. Well, after 5 months of waiting, we have had the ultrasound and we now know what the gender is for each of the wee little gaffers. If you want to see, click the link below.
