Dr.'s appointment

Today was my first outing with the kiddoes. My dad and I got all the babies into their carseats and then into the van and drove them down to the doctor's office. We pulled them all out of their seats and put two into a stroller (just a single one with them lying in it) and carried one. I waited in the lobby while dad parked the van. When he came back we went up to the office. Whew!

We did their measurements one at a time. Two of them peed in the scale and two of them complained about being man handled. Guess who didn't? Yup - Evan. He never complains. He doesn't even cry when he has a bath.

Then we went in to see the doctor and he checked them all out. He said they all look really good and seem to be doing well. He assured me that at this age, it was normal for them to sleep all the time, except to wake up to eat. He told us how much they should be eating and we are pretty close to that, so that's good.

Here are some numbers :

All the boys are putting weight on. None are back to their birthweight yet but are getting there.

Dylan's birth weight was 6 lbs and now he is at 5 lbs 11 oz (tenth percentile).
Evan's birth weight was 5 lbs 4 oz and now he is at 5 lbs even (3%)
Liam's birth weight was 4 lbs 14 oz and now he is at 4 lbs 11 oz (not quite on the chart)

We also stopped in at my dr's office so that the nurse and ultrasound tech could see them. Then we headed home to feed them. It was a decent first outing but tiring for me. I need 3 people when we have appointments. Someone to come with me and someone to watch Caden. Should be interesting :).

Ok - I'm going to go lie down now. I'm really really tired and the babies are sleeping while grandpa and Caden watch Madagascar. Later.

Jenn - I am glad to hear the the babies are doing so well. Isn't it so amazing that they are so little, but already have discinctive personailty traits.

Can't wait to get out there and see those little guys! It's hard to imagine how little they are... Liam is half the size that Maggie was when she was born. Sure, she was a little porker, but I don't think I've held a baby so small!! Can't wait! See you soon!

They are here. They are really really here!!!

It was a cool day. Almost too cold. The kind of cold that makes you rethink your very existence.... Boy. I am waaaay to tired for that. So I will give you the un-dramatic version. So, we are getting bombarded with requests for an update and pictures. So I will oblige and provide you with all the gory details. Actually, there are no gory details. In what can only be described as an amazing answer to many prayers, the new Mooney babies were brought into this world with no problems what so ever. We entered the hospital at 10:00 in the morning and were taken to the surgery room around 12:00 noon. At exactly 12:38, the first baby, Dylan Michael was born weighing in at 6 pounds even. Then, also at 12:38, Evan Timothy also charged into the world weighing in at 5.2 pounds. Then, at 12:39 Liam David was born weighing 4.8 pounds. For those of you good at math, that is a whopping 16 pounds worth of babies. 16 POUNDS!!! And even though them just being born at 36 weeks and 5 days isn...

Just the 6 of us now

I haven't blogged for a few days. It's been busy around here! But lots of fun. I'm feeling very tired tonight and will likely go to bed soon! We had a fun weekend with Justin's mom and Adam and Trinda and their kids. Trinda took some pictures for us again. Keep watching and I'll post some when I get them - it'll be a couple of weeks likely. Caden had SO much fun with his cousins, as he always does. They just go downstairs and we don't hear from them for a long time. Just some laughing and an occasional scrap. The triplets are eating ALOT and we're seeing them continue to fill out and get heavier. Things are going well. Justin's mom went home tonight so it's just the 6 of us this week. Justin is taking some holidays now. It'll be a nice time together. I'm looking forward to it but I know it'll be tougher now that our overnight help is gone. A baby is crying and Caden needs to be put to bed soon so I have to go.... Here ...

An Exciting Day

Hello friends! I'm having a very exciting day. Today is the day that I received my new logo! Can I just tell you all that if you can get a sister in law that is a fabulous graphic designer - absolutely do it!  If not - I'm so sorry for you but maybe you can use mine? Just say my name and she might squeeze you in between all her other clients.  She very patiently worked with me to come up with a logo that is neat and simple. I love it. Here it is: Check out her website here . And you can like my facebook page here .
