Why I am tired

Some of you are wondering what it is like to feed triplets. It's a pretty busy job. Nights are the hardest obviously and so far I've had lots of help. This was my night last night (and this is with help at each feeding):

Babies ate from :

10 pm - 11 pm
I slept from 1130 til about 1am (1.5 hrs)
then from 1:10 - 2:00 am but Liam was awake until 2:40.

I slept from 2:40 - 3:30 (50 minutes) - that's when Evan and Liam fussed and woke me up. Luckily they settled back down and I slept from 3:40 - 4:45 (1 hr and 5 min).

All the boys ate again from 4:45 - 615 or so. I slept from 615 until 650 (35 min). 6:50 is when Caden woke up. The babies are still sleeping but Caden has me up.

So - after tallying up those times - I slept 4 hours broken up into 4 separate increments. Ouch. And that pretty much describes each night this week. Except one night the beginning of the week you have to throw in an episode of Caden waking up crying at 1230 at night.

So ya - SLEEPY! Luckily Judy is here and I can nap during the day but I dream of sleeping for more that 2 hours at a stretch. So if you are getting that - don't say you have nothing to be grateful for.

That all sounds like complaining and I suppose it is but it is so worth it. And of course, someday, I am going to miss this :)

I hear you loud & clear Jen. I'm so glad those days are over for me. I remember one night when I actually wrote down every time I had to get out of bed to either feed or settle the boys. I was up pretty much every 10 minutes from midnight to 8am!! Now that was a fun night! LOL Hope you never experience one like that.

wow, Jen! that's incredibly. 4 hours of straight sleep is hard enough to function on! i can't imagine it being interrupted 4 times!
yeah, a nice long night of sleep would probably make things a lot easier eh?! hopefully that's not too far away! take care over there!

Jen, I feel for you! Nate was 4 years old before he slept through the night. My fantasy was not to have a gorgeous wonderful man to romance me (as I was single), it was to have a magazine in a hotel room all by myself and sleep for 8 whole hours! And you have 4! Best wishes!

They are here. They are really really here!!!

It was a cool day. Almost too cold. The kind of cold that makes you rethink your very existence.... Boy. I am waaaay to tired for that. So I will give you the un-dramatic version. So, we are getting bombarded with requests for an update and pictures. So I will oblige and provide you with all the gory details. Actually, there are no gory details. In what can only be described as an amazing answer to many prayers, the new Mooney babies were brought into this world with no problems what so ever. We entered the hospital at 10:00 in the morning and were taken to the surgery room around 12:00 noon. At exactly 12:38, the first baby, Dylan Michael was born weighing in at 6 pounds even. Then, also at 12:38, Evan Timothy also charged into the world weighing in at 5.2 pounds. Then, at 12:39 Liam David was born weighing 4.8 pounds. For those of you good at math, that is a whopping 16 pounds worth of babies. 16 POUNDS!!! And even though them just being born at 36 weeks and 5 days isn...

Just the 6 of us now

I haven't blogged for a few days. It's been busy around here! But lots of fun. I'm feeling very tired tonight and will likely go to bed soon! We had a fun weekend with Justin's mom and Adam and Trinda and their kids. Trinda took some pictures for us again. Keep watching and I'll post some when I get them - it'll be a couple of weeks likely. Caden had SO much fun with his cousins, as he always does. They just go downstairs and we don't hear from them for a long time. Just some laughing and an occasional scrap. The triplets are eating ALOT and we're seeing them continue to fill out and get heavier. Things are going well. Justin's mom went home tonight so it's just the 6 of us this week. Justin is taking some holidays now. It'll be a nice time together. I'm looking forward to it but I know it'll be tougher now that our overnight help is gone. A baby is crying and Caden needs to be put to bed soon so I have to go.... Here ...

An Exciting Day

Hello friends! I'm having a very exciting day. Today is the day that I received my new logo! Can I just tell you all that if you can get a sister in law that is a fabulous graphic designer - absolutely do it!  If not - I'm so sorry for you but maybe you can use mine? Just say my name and she might squeeze you in between all her other clients.  She very patiently worked with me to come up with a logo that is neat and simple. I love it. Here it is: Check out her website here . And you can like my facebook page here .
