So Happy

I wish I were more poetic or just a better wordsmith period. I wish I could express how full my heart feels. And how in awe I feel. I think back over the journey that led us to where we are now and am so emotional about it all. I look back over how God was working in us the whole time so that not only have we finally gotten our family but we have grown as we travelled this road. I hope that we will never forget to appreciate every moment with our children.

I have shed tears for so many people who haven't been able to have children or have lost children. I know a little of how it feels to have your heart broken and I spent so many months and years mostly sad, wondering if I would always feel that way. It's an amazing place to be - this place I am in right now. Talk about the "UPS" of ups and downs. We have been gifted these 4 boys and I cannot imagine anything better than this.

We are home now and really happy to be starting this new chapter of our lives. It will be extremely tiring but, speaking of my heart feeling full, the sides are overflowing with appreciation for all the people who love us. So many wonderful friends and family. When that many people are praying for you and supporting you, wonderful things are bound to happen and boy, have they ever! SO, thank you all!

We have had 2 decent nights. Pretty much what you'd expect - but the babies still sleep alot so we have to actually wake them up to feed them. That means, so far, we get the solid 3 hours between feedings. The babies are doing well. We'd like them to be a little more awake. So far they have slept most of the day and night. They haven't started gaining weight yet but that'll come soon.

Caden likes his baby brothers and kisses them and wants to be near them. He seems to be doing ok so far. It's a little like a party for him these days. He gets presents and has stayed overnight with grandma and grandpa. Hung out with lots of his favorite people. I think he's a little played out, if anything, but seems to be pretty happy.

So - things are going well and we're on to another day. We'll try to get more pictures up this weekend but there are no promises :)

Keira and Conor slept most of the time when we first brought them home as well. I remember putting Kiera in her crib when we got home from the hospital and thinking, Now what? She slept execpt to tell us to feed her for prob the first 3 or 4 weeks she was home. Congrats again and God bless!
They say that they are growing while they sleep. Thinking of you & praying for you, thankimg God for your little blessings!!!

They are here. They are really really here!!!

It was a cool day. Almost too cold. The kind of cold that makes you rethink your very existence.... Boy. I am waaaay to tired for that. So I will give you the un-dramatic version. So, we are getting bombarded with requests for an update and pictures. So I will oblige and provide you with all the gory details. Actually, there are no gory details. In what can only be described as an amazing answer to many prayers, the new Mooney babies were brought into this world with no problems what so ever. We entered the hospital at 10:00 in the morning and were taken to the surgery room around 12:00 noon. At exactly 12:38, the first baby, Dylan Michael was born weighing in at 6 pounds even. Then, also at 12:38, Evan Timothy also charged into the world weighing in at 5.2 pounds. Then, at 12:39 Liam David was born weighing 4.8 pounds. For those of you good at math, that is a whopping 16 pounds worth of babies. 16 POUNDS!!! And even though them just being born at 36 weeks and 5 days isn

The 2 Week Wait is Over

The waiting is finally over. Today was the day - after 2 long weeks of waiting - that I went for my official pregnancy test at the dr.'s office. I had done a couple of Home Pregnancy Tests so I pretty much knew what to expect. I have been praying constantly, as have many of you out there (thank you so much for that). Well, God heard all of us and we are happy to report that the test came back positive. We are really happy but also very cautious . It was only 5 months ago today that we lost our pregnancy at 5 1/2 weeks. We are going to just continue praying that God will watch over this pregnancy and that a healthy baby will be born. We give Thanks to God !
